The Social Think-Tank Center was established by an inter-institutional alliance made between the National Association of Business People - ANDI, the Family Compensation Fund of Antioquia - COMFAMA, Interconexión Eléctrica S.A. - ISA, the Foundation for the Progress of Antioquia - PROANTIOQUIA, and SURATEP A.R.P.; with the purpose of enhancing in an autonomous and independent fashion, research, critical and scientific studies, and documented opinions, all favoring the improvement of social public policies and corporate social responsibility practices. The above is carried out to promote the country's sustainable development and the impact on decision-making to provide effective solutions to overcome poverty, to build equitable conditions, to improve the protection and social inclusion systems of Antioquia and Colombia.

The Social Think-Tank Center is guided by the following principles:

Independence: Responsibility to disclose the results obtained and the positions assumed, without any external interferences.

Credibility: Based on academic excellence as well as the scientific and technical rigor of its participants.

Cooperation: Building the analysis, research and studies hand-in-hand with diverse institutions and organizations which share common interests on the subject matter.
